Time for a Time Freebie!

Do you ever work on a project that just keeps growing and growing? I started working on my I have...Who has? packet last summer. I keep on adding new games to it. It has grown to almost 300 pages! These games are great for when you sometimes have a few extra minutes here or there or to put in your bag of goodies when you have a sub.

This weekend I added time to the hour, half hour, :15, :45 and in 5 minute increments. I felt cross-eyed by the time I was finished checking that one!

I also added a CVC game.
 and a rhyming game

I want to share the time to the hour with you.You should be able to  print the pictures and get it that way. If that doesn't work, please leave me a comment and I will put it in Google Docs.

Happy Monday!

Getting Ready For St. Patrick's Day!

I'm trying to get ready for St. Patrick's day. The way our spring break falls I'm doing St. Patrick one week and then Easter the next! Here are some of the things I have printed and just need to laminate or copy.

These are part of my Shamrock Sentences pack. I can't wait to use these with my kiddos. They really like unscrambling the sentence. I like have several different ones so that I can easily differentiate.

Here is another unit for St. Patrick's day. I have this one already printed, laminated and copies made all ready to go. {It's hard to believe that I'm actually ahead on something.} My kids absolutely love these old lady books and I do too.

I have finally took the plunge and created a Facebook page. Yikes! I would LOVE for you to check it out! And I've got a pretty cool freebie waiting there for you!

Our Week In Pictures

Looking back, I don't feel like I took nearly enough pictures! Some things we did that I didn't even get pictures of was when the Boys and Girls Club staff dressed up and came to read to us, a community member dressed up and read to us and service learning students from the high school came to read to us. We are truly blessed to have so many people willing to come and read to our kinders! We also made the Horton handprints, sorted and graphed color goldfish, wrote about the Lorax and made truffela trees {but sadly no pictures}. However here's what I did manage to get pictures of:

During our Lorax writing, we wore our mustaches. These were a huge hit and most of them wanted to wear them all day!
These were colored and stapled onto a headband to wear as a hat.

We are foodies in my classroom. We had Thing 1 and Thing 2 jello.
And we had a "green egg".
All in all, it was a crazy week but so much fun!

Space, Ready for Seuss and a Couple of Freebies to Snag

Last week was a 4 day week. What is it about short weeks feeling like they last FOREVER?! Anyways, last week we did our space unit. Here are a few pictures:
We made a rocket and astronaut to accompany the writing.
Then we made stars using Elmer's glue that had food coloring in it and glitter. (We LOVE anything with glitter in my classroom!)
We had so much fun! Click to check out unit in my little store.

I also created a graphing freebie to use with your space unit. Just click on the picture to snag it! But please remember to leave feedback. :)

I am all ready for Seuss activites this week! I LOVE this week!! We will be wearing Lorax mustaches that my hubby drew for me (all of mine ended up looking like teeth, really creepy teeth.).

Here are some activities from my Silly Sentence pack that will work with this week's activites:
We will start this out as a whole group activity to create sentences, then try the unscramble sentence sheets from the packet. Then it will be moved into a reading station for students to create their own sentences and write them down. They really love doing these activities!

And here is a little freebie for you! I found this on pinterest (but the link only took me to Google images so I don't exactly know where it came from). This is so darling and I can't wait to do this with my kinders. Clicking on the picture will take you to my Dr. Seuss pinterest board.

I created a template to use (using the cute frame from Graphics From the Pond). Click on the picture to get it from google docs.
More pictures to come as the week goes on!

Tooth Fairy {with a freebie} and Exciting News

This week instead of doing Valentine's Day like any normal kindergarten classroom, we did the Tooth Fairy and dental health instead (not all of my little friends celebrate holidays). We of course still had our party yesterday, but I try to make sure all of my little friends can participate in our weekly units. But it worked out wonderfully since someone came to talk to our kinders about dental health this week.

Here is a little peek at what we did this week:

Here is our writing chart that we used to fill in our little emergent reader. This was a lot of fun!

This little guy who colored this one told me that the red was really magic dust that kept the Tooth Fairy invisible.
